Alter Capital selected as one of five venture capital managers in Axis' 14th Global Fund round
“Fond-ICO Global Selects 15 Funds and Allocates €750 Million in Its 14th Call”
AXIS, the venture capital company of the ICO Group, resolved last December the fourteenth call for Fond-ICO Global, with the choice of 15 funds in which it will invest a total of 750 million euros.
For the first time, Alter Capital applied to this call in the Venture Capital category and was chosen as one of the five fund managers for venture capital investments under Fond-ICO Global. In the first two categories —venture capital, technology transfer, and incubation— a total of 24 fund managers participated in this call, setting a record for participation, of which only 10 managers were selected.
Launch of Alter Cap III: New €30 Million Fund
After the selection, Alter Capital will have a new fund, which will receive the name of Alter Cap III, with a target size of 30 million, with 49% of public contribution and the remaining 51%, private.
Alter Capital may mainly invest its capital in operations between 250 thousand and 10 million euros, via capital increases, participatory loans and/or venture debt of unlisted companies already constituted to finance new products or the entry into new markets.
This fund joins Alter Cap Andalucía, with a target size of €15 million and currently in its investment period, and Alter Cap II, in its divestment phase, which currently has two portfolio companies.
