“Alter Capital Places Its Trust in Its Female Executives for the Acquisition of Vilagallo”

Majority Stake Acquisition
Alter Capital has formalized its entry into Vilagallo’s share capital through a management buy-out alongside executives Ana Ferrer and Mercedes Alonso, and investor Marcos Alonso. The acquisition of a majority stake marks the beginning of a new phase focused on international expansion, digitalization, and the professionalization of the operational structure, while preserving the creative identity that has defined the brand since its inception.

About Vilagallo
Vilagallo, a Spanish women’s fashion company with more than 25 years of history, has built its reputation on exclusive designs developed between Madrid and Piacenza. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years, doubling its revenue since 2021 and recording a 19.8% CAGR between 2022 and 2024. It currently operates through a multibrand channel with nearly 1,000 points of sale across 30 countries, company-owned and franchised stores in strategic locations, and an online channel with substantial expansion potential.

With the transaction, Ana Ferrer and Mercedes Alonso will assume executive leadership as Co-CEOs, bringing together international experience, strategic vision, and deep knowledge of the brand. Their leadership is complemented by the entry of Marcos Alonso as partner, reinforcing the project with committed investment and a long-term growth mindset.

About the Transaction
Alter Capital’s involvement will strengthen Vilagallo’s internal structure, implement advanced reporting systems, and optimize key processes. The new roadmap includes expanding the brand’s presence in strategic markets, launching the online channel in the United States and new European countries, and consolidating its international positioning.

Faustino Valdés Gallardo, Investment Director at Alter Capital, highlights that Vilagallo combines a strong identity and a clear global ambition with a highly committed management team. He underscores that the firm will provide capital, professionalization, and strategic vision to support this new growth phase.

With this transaction, Alter Capital reaches 50% of the capital committed in its national fund Alter Cap III Ventures FCR and continues advancing its strategy of supporting SMEs in internationalization, consolidation, and generational transition processes.
