Kampaoh receives a $4 million round with participation from Alter Capital

“An Innovative Model: Company-Owned Units and Hotel-Style Experience”
Kampaoh, a leading national company in the management of campsites with its own stores, has received around 4 million euros in a new investment round where, in addition to Alter Capital, the funds Axon Partners, JME Ventures and Encomenda have participated.

Kampaoh facilitates the reservation of campsites through its website, which allows the user the possibility of booking in any of the 21 campsites they currently have. Kampaoh designs, buys, assembles and assembles all its tents that are fully equipped with hotel services. On the other hand, it also offers benefits for the owners of the plots achieving a greater occupation of the plots and a greater marginal profitability of the plot.

The camping and holiday accommodation platform has received 4 million euros in a new round of investment. The capital comes, in addition to Alter Capital, from the funds Axon Partners, JME Ventures, Encomenda and Alter Capital, and will serve to promote the Andalusian startup's commitment to innovation, production and store design to offer its customers unique accommodations in nature.

“Team Expansion and Creation of New Job Positions”
This strategic change also entails the generation of jobs to meet the need for new professional profiles within the team. A human team that does not stop growing and that seeks to attract talent that strengthens practically all of its departments to achieve its objectives for 2022.

After a year in which the company reached sales of 3.4 million euros, the objectives for next year are ambitious: to double the turnover, with more than 1,200 stores spread over about 50 campsites throughout Spain.

“The Camping Sector in Spain: Accelerated Growth and Modernization Potential”
According to the recent study “Real Estate Campsite Market Insights” by Deloitte, Spain has 1,190 campsites generating 40 million overnight stays annually, with a year-on-year growth rate of 19%. While these figures are positive, they remain below those of France, the United Kingdom, and Germany —countries with less favorable climates but more professionalized and modernized offerings. This suggests that the growth of campsites in Spain is expected to continue its upward trend.

Since 2016, Kampaoh has played a key role in the transformation of a sector with an outdated offering, providing innovative accommodation concepts that cater to new generations of customers seeking more sustainable and nature-oriented options.
